Senior Housing Proposed for Vacant Newark Lot

Newark, New Jersey: A new senior housing facility may be built in Newark's Central Ward. According to public records, Metropolitan Senior Housing is planning to build a four story tall senior residential building along South Orange Avenue, stretching from Prince Street to Broome Street. It would contain 58 apartments and 26 parking spaces. The building would be located near the Greater Newark Conservancy and the new Springfield Avenue Marketplace development, which contains the ShopRite of Newark supermarket. The lot that it would be built on has been vacant for several years. Click here to learn more.
