Newark, New Jersey: A local organization will accept donations for homeless Newarkers who live in and around Newark Penn Station in the East Ward. According to RLS Media, care packages, coffee, and donuts will be given out to those in need on Saturday, October 17th, beginning at 12:00pm. Donations are being accepted now for those care packages. Recommended items include food like crackers, bottled water, granola bars, peanut butter, and canned fruits and other items like coats, shoes, socks, and toothbrushes.
