West Orange, New Jersey: This weekend, Llewellyn Park in West Orange will open its gates to the public for the annual Llewellyn Park Thomas Edison 5K. Llewellyn Park, a 425 acre private gated community, is normally closed off to the general public, except for those visiting Thomas Edison's Glenmont Mansion. This Sunday, October 4th, the public can get a glimpse of the rest of the park at the 5K, which will begin and end at Glenmont, starting at 10:00am. Registration, which costs $30, will begin at 9:00am. The fee includes refreshments, a t-shirt, and a private tour of Glenmon. A fun run for children will be held at 11:00am, and costs $15 per child.
