Bloomfield Library Friends to Celebrate 80 Years


Bloomfield, New Jersey: A local organization is about to celebrate 80 years of serving the community this year. The Friends of the Bloomfield Public Library was established in 1935 by the Women's Club of Bloomfield and the American Association of University Women. It is the oldest Library Friends Group on the East Coast, according to The Bloomfield E-Buzz. The 80th anniversary celebration will be held at the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center on Sunday, October 18th at 3:00pm. There will be music and refreshments, and information about the history of the group will be shared.
