West Orange, New Jersey: An LA Fitness club location will open in West Orange. The club will be located near 471 Prospect Avenue, along the entrance road to the Essex Green Shopping Center. The facility will contain an indoor pool and a basketball court. Construction is currently underway at the site, which used to be home to an Organon injectable drug manufacturing facility. That facility closed in 2004. This will be the first Essex County location for the Orange County, California-based chain, though there are locations in Union, Morris, Hudson, and Passaic Counties. LA Fitness is not the only new gym to come to West Orange. A Retro Fitness location opened in a nearby shopping plaza in 2014. Click here to learn more.
