Newark, New Jersey: A birding walk will be held in Newark's Branch Brook Park, the oldest county park in the United States. The event will be held from 9:00am to 11:30am this Thursday, October 22nd. It is free and open to children ages 12 and over and adults. Attendees will observe migrating birds as they walk at a leisurely pace. Participants should meet at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, located off of Branch Brook Park Drive and Verona Avenue in the northern end of the park, near the Belleville border.
