Irvington Library to Celebrate 100 Years


Irvington, New Jersey: The Irvington Public Library is preparing to celebrate 100 years of serving the residents and employees of the Township community. A Gala Dinner Dance will be held on Friday, September 18th, from 6:00pm to 11:00pm in the Crystal Room of the Galloping Hill Caterers in Union Township, Union County. According to the Library, "this will be an evening of dining, dance and entertainment". Dr. Thomas Panitch, Allan Siegel, Esq., Lorelei McConnell, Harry Perryman, the legacy of the Honorable D. Bilal Beasley and Comcast will be honored during the event as they "have contributed to the success of the Library over the years". Other celebratory events have been held so far this year, including an art competition and a community open house. The theme of this year's events is "Serving with Excellence for 100 Years".
