Free Lunch for Newark Children Ends Tomorrow

Newark, New Jersey: The last day of the 2015 Lunch and Learn program will conclude this Friday, August 7th. Children and teenagers under the age of 19 will be served lunch at no cost at six Newark schools from 1:00pm to 1:30pm. Staff will supervise participants, although parents are encouraged to come with small children. The program is being held at 1 Belmont Canyon Way, 333 Clinton Place, 701 South Orange Avenue, 214 First Avenue, 8 Hawkins Street, and 359 13th Avenue. Similar programs are being held across the country, and are being sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture.
