Wellness Extravaganza Coming to South Orange Middle School


South Orange, New Jersey: A Wellness Extravaganza will take place at South Orange Middle School on Thursday, April 16th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. There will be free food and drinks, raffles, free health screenings, special performances, cooking demonstrations, giveaways, and free chair massages. The school jazz band and drum circle will perform, and the first 200 student attendees will receive free customized earbuds. Participating vendors will include Newark Community Health Centers, Essex County College, Beth Israel Medical Center, the South Orange Police Department, South Orange CERT, the Environmental Protection Agency, and dozens of other organizations. All activities will occur in the school's gymnasium, which can be accessed using the rear parking lot. The event is sponsored by YouthNet of South Orange and Maplewood, the South Orange Maplewood School District, and New Jersey Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
