Newark, New Jersey: A restaurant chain specializing in fried foods could open a Newark location.
A franchise of French Fry Heaven may open within the Prudential Shoppes on Broad development at 679-705 Broad Street, between Cedar Street and Prudential Drive, in Downtown Newark. According to a real estate listing from CBRE, the company and French Fry Heaven are at lease for a 1,199 square foot space in Building B, next to Blaze Pizza.
Based in Florida, French Fry Heaven previously had locations in Woodbridge, Middlesex County and Paramus, Bergen County.
The Shoppes on Broad development opened last year across from Military Park, and contains locations of Qdoba Mexican Eats, Starbucks Coffee, Blaze Pizza, Nike Factory Store, Halsey Cleaners, Halsey Newsstand, Ron Tomson, and Bright Horizons.
As Essex County Place first reported earlier this year, Grabbagreen and The Halal Guys are also coming to the development. Previously, several buildings, including the abandoned S. Klein on the Square department store, and a parking lot, were located at the site.
