Belleville, New Jersey: A hotel is planned as part of a massive development project in Belleville.
According to a listing from Tulfra Real Estate, Hampshire Real Estate Companies, and Pierson Commercial, the proposed Park 11 development at the corner of South Franklin Avenue and Mill Street near the Newark border is slated to have a hotel with 125 rooms at the southwest corner of the property.
A station of the Belleville Fire Department will also come to the development. A pharmacy, restaurants convenience store, medical and office building, and self-storage facility are proposed as well.
The property was the site of the Roche Diagnostics building and complex until it was demolished in 2010. It is located next to Clara Maass Medical Center, just across South Franklin Avenue from Branch Brook Park. Part of the site is adjacent to a residential neighborhood.
"Together we are transforming 11 Franklin Ave into a productive 500,000 square foot master-planned, mixed-use project that our community will be proud of", a statement on the project website reads.
NJ Transit's Bus 92 stops near the lot, and the Silver Lake and Branch Brook Park Stations on the Newark Light Rail are both .5 miles away.
