Newark, New Jersey: Tours of Newark from local waterways will be available again this year.
According to Newark Riverfront Revival, tours along the Passaic River will be offered on Sunday, June 26th, Saturday, July 23rd, Sunday, August 28th, and Sunday, September 11th. Attendees can travel to Port Newark on Sunday, August 21st, Saturday, August 27th, and Sunday, September 18th. The tour boats belong to the Hackensack Riverkeeper.
Tickets cost $5 for Newark residents and $15 for everyone else. The boats departs from Riverfront Park in the Ironbound, along Raymond Boulevard between the Jackson Street Bridge and Somme Street. To reserve a space, call (201) 341-8311 or send an email to newarkriverfront@gmail.com.
Other planned events include free kayaking, walking tours, open mic nights, a dance workship, public art, and a movie night.
