New Building Coming to MLK Boulevard in Newark

Newark, New Jersey: A new building will rise in Newark's Central Ward.

The Donnelly Building will be constructed at 535 Martin Luther King Boulevard, at the southwest corner of William Street. It will contain retail space and offices, and will have a roof garden atop the building, according to site plans.

It will be built at the site of the Hamilton Building and Loan Association Building, which was most recently occupied by the Rising Sun Academy, a free preschool. The Hamilton Building and Loan Association originally used the building as a bank, which was founded in 1905.
