Apartment Building Planned for Maplewood


Maplewood, New Jersey: Another new apartment building is planned for Maplewood. 

According to records from the Maplewood Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, the new building is planned for a lot near Seth Boyden Demonstration School at 285-305 Boyden Avenue. The site, located at the corner of Tuscan Road, is currently contains the former 76-year-old Hilton United Methodist Church and the neighboring field and former parking lot. 

The building, which is being proposed by Maplewood architect Mark S. Carelli, would feature 15 two-bedroom and 15-one bedroom apartments atop parking on the first floor. It would change the use of the lot from tax-exempt church property to residential.
