WNYC to Host Forum Regarding Obamacare in Newark


Newark, New Jersey: Area NPR-affiliate radio stations will host an event in Downtown Newark later this month.

WNYC 93.9 FM and New Jersey Public Radio will hold 'Obamacare: A Report Card from New Jersey' on Thursday, July 14th at 7:00pm at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. According to the stations, Brian Lehrer, host of The Brian Lehrer Show, will moderate a panel to discuss the status of the Affordable Care Act in New Jersey. Panelists will include Wardell Sanders of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans, Jackie Cornell-Bechelli from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Heather Howard of the State Health Reform Assistance Network, and Darrell Terry, Sr. of RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public, but online registration is required.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is located opposite Military Park at 1 Center Street. Transportation is available using local NJ Transit buses or by taking the Newark Light Rail to NJPAC/Center Street.
