New Restaurant Opens in Newark's North Ward

Newark, New Jersey: A new restaurant has opened to patrons in the North Ward of Newark. The grand opening of Shorty's Restaurant was held on Saturday, December 19th. The restaurant is located at 511 Summer Avenue, between Chester Avenue and Delavan Avenue. It serves Puertor Rican and Ecuadorian food. Customers can order takeout or dine in. The space was previously occupied by the Irma Botanica, a bodega, though it has been vacant for several years. This is the second Puerto Rican restaurant in the Forest Hill/Mount Prospect neighborhood. Click here to learn more.
