West Orange, New Jersey: The Township of West Orange and Thomas Edison National Historical Park will present the annual Edison Day and Street Fair on Saturday, June 6th. The street fair will take place from 11:00am to 5:00pm, and a dinner and concert will take place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Activities will include Slide the City, a 1000 foot slip and slide that will be set up in Downtown. Registration for a single slide costs $20 in advance, and an unlimited slide pass costs $55 in advance. Activities at the Thomas Edison National Historical Park Laboratory Complex will take place between 11:00am and 5:00pm, and will include an exhibition of the 'Dream Rocket Project' and live recordings by local musicians on 100 year old phonographs. Admission to the park will be free. In Downtown, there will be a stage with live music, a community picnic from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, a dunk tank, a beer garden, a classic car show, and dozens of vendors. Sponsors include the Downtown West Orange Alliance, the Township of West Orange, the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, Regal Bank, and Metlife.
