Newark Officials Cut the Ribbon on New Restaurant


Newark, New Jersey: City Mayor Ras Baraka and other officials helped cut the ribbon Tuesday afternoon on a new restaurant in Downtown Newark. Lakay Restaurant, which officially opened in April, serves Haitian food and other Caribbean cuisine. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. The restaurant is located next to Felfeta Mediterranean Restaurant at 85 Mulberry Street, between Commerce Street and Raymond Boulevard. It replaced Nicky's Cafe and Grille. To learn more, call (973) 645-1700.
