New Businesses Open on Maplewood's Valley Street

Maplewood, New Jersey: Two new businesses have opened on Valley Street in Maplewood.

555 Grille opened for business at 513 Valley Street on Saturday, next to the Suburban Learning Center. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and American cuisine, in addition to seafood. The space had been vacant for over a year, and was formerly home to the Seafood Palace restaurant. The Maplewood Pizzeria, which is now located at the corner of West Parker Avenue, was originally located in the space.

Transitions Antiques to Collectibles also recently opened in Maplewood, and is located at 530 Valley Street. The store is located next to American Jiu Jitsu and Tara's Gourmet Deli. It used to contain the Academic Resource Center and the offices of Alper Realty.

In addition, a CVS/pharmacy location will open on Valley Street across from Columbia High School on June 14th. The pharmacy was built at the site of the former Dollar Variety Discount Store.
