New Housing Coming to East Orange

East Orange, New Jersey: A new mixed-use development is coming to East Orange.

According to Colliers International, a seven story building will rise at 315 South Harrison Street, between East Highland Avenue and Clay Street. The building, called Lotus @ 315, will include residential units, first floor retail space, and 290 parking spaces for customers. A development called Espre 315 was originally planned for the lot, which has sat vacant for decades.

This part of South Harrison Street, near Orange Park, is lined with several apartment towers. According to the City of East Orange, the new project is receiving a 30 year tax abatement.
