Maplewood USPS Letter Carriers to Move to Union

The letter carrier division of the main Maplewood Post Office will relocate this month to the main post office in Union Township on Chestnut Street.

"The carriers will be repositioned but there is no impact to local customers", said Maureen P. Marion of the United States Postal Service, mentioning that oversized or signature-required mail that cannot be delivered will be available at the main Maplewood Post Office on Maplewood Avenue.

"No one should see a change", added Marion.

The post office building is expected to be demolished next year in order to make way for a new commercial and residential building. Maplewood's other postal station is located on Springfield Avenue.
