The Jersey Animal Coalition shelter at 298 Walton Avenue in South Orange has been shut down by the South Orange Department of Health, and a sign on the front door read that the "facility (was) under quarantine". No animals are being permitted to enter or leave the shelter, and another sign at the front door read that no volunteers were permitted inside the shelter. The was shelter was closed in part because three cats at the JAC shelter have been infected with ringworm.
