Newark, New Jersey: Essex County's first Blaze Pizza location will open in Downtown Newark's new Shoppes on Broad development.
Customers of the Newark Blaze Pizza location will be able to pay one price to 'custom build' their pizzas by selecting from a variety of toppings, including vegetables, sauces, and cheeses. Then, according to Blaze Pizza, the pizzas will be baked for two to three minutes. Other menu items will include salads, drinks, and desserts.
Blaze Pizza, which is based in Pasadena, California, has New Jersey locations in Paramus, Bergen County and Wayne, Passaic County. Another New Jersey location is planned for Clark, Union County.
Several fast-casual restaurants like Blaze Pizza have opened in Downtown Newark in recent years. A Chipotle location opened in 2014 on Market Street, and Burger Walla opened later that year on Halsey Street.
The Shoppes on Broad development will be located opposite Military Park at 697-705 Broad Street, and is a part of the new Prudential Tower complex. The property is being developed by SJP Properties.
