Max's Restaurant Opens Bloomfield Location

Bloomfield, New Jersey: An international restaurant franchise just opened its first Essex County location.

A Max's Restaurant location opened on Sunday, March 26th within the East West Plaza at 65 Belleville Avenue in Bloomfield, between Davey Street and Patton Drive. The company, which brands itself as "the house that fried chicken built" serving "authentic Filipino dishes," was founded over 70 years ago in Quezon City, the Philippines' largest city. It currently has only one other New Jersey location, which is in Jersey City. In addition to fried chicken, menu items include soups like shrimp tamarind and milkfish tamarind, longsilog, tapsilog, chop suey, fried rice, laing, and egg rolls.

The space was previously occupied by the East West Filipino Restaurant.
