Townhouses Planned for Lot in Newark's North Ward


Newark, New Jersey: Residents could soon be living at the site of a vacant lot in Newark's North Ward.

According to a legal notice from the Newark Central Planning Board, four new one family townhouses are proposed for 233-239 Summer Avenue, at the northeast corner of 3rd Avenue. The notice states the there would be a total gross floor area of 10,258 square feet.

Property records show that the lot was acquired by sheriff's sale by Meidany, LLC of Jersey City for $25,600. The property has been used for private parking recently.

The Newark Central Planning Board will hear the proposal and accept public comment at its meeting on July 25th at 6:30pm at Neark City Hall.
