PHOTOS: Maplewood Village Post Office Being Demolished

Maplewood, New Jersey: Demolition continued Thursday on a former post office in Maplewood.

The former main post office along Maplewood Avenue in the Maplewood Village Business District is being torn down to make way for a mixed use residential and commercial building called Clarus Maplewood. JMF Properties will develop 23 apartments and retail space in the new building, which was previously going to be known as The Post House.

Maplewood Village's post office had been built in 1958, and closed in 2015. Maplewood currently has other post offices on Maplewood Avenue near Lenox Place and on Springfield Avenue.
