Newark, New Jersey: Following today's announcement of the finding of elevated levels of lead in the water systems of 30 public schools across Newark, donations of water bottles are being accepted.
According to Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr., donations can be brought today, March 9, to the Vince Lombardi Center of Hope, located in the North Ward at 201 Bloomfield Avenue, between Parker Street and Ridge Street.
In addition, according to David Lippman of the City of Newark, the following recreation centers are accepting donations until 8:00pm tonight:
Boylan Recreation Center
916 South Orange Avenue, West Ward
Rotunda Recreation Center
75 Clifton Avenue, Central Ward
John F. Kennedy Recreation/Aquatic Center
211 W. Kinney Street, Central Ward
St. Peter's Recreation Center
378 Lyons Avenue, South Ward
Ironbound Recreation/Aquatic Center
226 Rome Street, East Ward
