Art Workshops Coming to Newark Library Branches


Newark, New Jersey: The Newark Public Library will hold art workshops for teenagers at two branch locationsOn Wednesday, November 4th at 3:30pm, a program regarding drawing super heroes will be held at the Branch Brook Branch Library, located at 235 Clifton Avenue. Cartoonist Paul Merklein will show attendees how to draw characters from comic books, television shows and movies. Then, on Thursday, November 19th, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, the Clinton Branch Library, located at 739 Bergen Street in Clinton Hill, will host a program regarding creative jewelry making and crafting. Staff from TiaMarie Beading Studio in Montclair will provide instruction. To register, call (973) 733-7757. Both programs will be funded by a grant from Newark's Victoria Foundation. Click here and here to learn more.
