Take a Trolley Tour of Newark

Newark, New Jersey: The Newark Trolley's fall tour season is about to begin. Tours will operate from 11:30am to 3:30pm on Friday afternoons from September 11th until the end of November.

Tours loop around Downtown Newark and the Ironbound, and guests can board at the Ironbound Station Plaza, the New Jersey Historical Society, the Plume House, City Without Walls, the Greater Newark Conservancy, and Gallery Aferro. The trolley bus will stop at the Newark Museum, the Gateway Center, and select art galleries by request.

This year, there is a Haunted Newark tour on the lineup. Just before Halloween on Friday, October 30th, the trolley will operate later in the afternoon and early evening. Trolley operator Charley Cano told Essex County Place that the tour will visit the site where Dutch Schultz was killed, old graveyards and burying grounds, and "rumored haunted spots".

Tickets must be purchased in advance, and cost $5 for Newarkers, $7 for students, senior citizens, first responders, members of the military, and veterans, and $10 for the general public.
