Orange Organization Receives Grant for Affordable Care Act Assistance

Orange, New Jersey: A federal agency has given a $335,000 grant to a local organization that helps area residents seek affordable health care options. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services of the United States Department of Health and Human Services awarded the grant to the Orange Affordable Care Act Navigator Project (OACANP). The grant will "support outreach efforts designed to connect people with local help as they seek to understand the coverage options and financial assistance available at HealthCare.gov", according to the organization. The 2015 enrollment period will begin in November. This is not the first time that the organization has received federal grant money.  Senator Robert Menendez announced a grant exceeding $2,000,000 for OACANP in 2013. The OACANP is located within The Centre at Park Avenue at 523 Park Avenue in Orange near the West Orange border, between Standish and Watchung Avenues. OACANP services are also provided in Maplewood, Plainfield, Bloomfield, Ridgefield, East Orange, Carteret, and Newark. Click here to learn more, or call (973) 500-6031.
