Newark, New Jersey: The Vailsburg Green Day at the Heart of Vailsburg 18th Avenue Gardens will be held this Saturday, July 11th, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and volunteers are needed to assist. Volunteers will be served a free breakfast before spreading woodchips and planting herbs, flowers, and seeds. Children must be accompanied by adults. The event will be presented by the Unified Vailsburg Services Organization's Block Club Coalition and Vailsburg Garden Committee. The Heart of Vailsburg 18th Avenue Gardens are located at 1068 18th Avenue between Smith and Mead Streets.
