Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Renaissance/Gentrification of Newark

Newark, New Jersey: The 2nd annual conference of Montclair State University's Center for Cooperative Media will take place this June in Newark. The events will begin with a town hall-style community meeting regarding whether Newark is being gentrified or is undergoing a renaissance. Newark's population is increasing for the first time in several decades, as more businesses and mixed use residential and commercial developments continue to open in the city, especially in Downtown. The meeting will take place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Monday, June 15th. Admission is free, although advance registration is required. The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is located at 2 Center Street opposite Military Park, adjacent to the Military Park Station of the Newark Light Rail.
