Only a Few Tickets Remain for 'Taste of Montclair'

Only a few tickets are left for the Taste of Montclair on Monday, March 9, the kickoff event for Montclair Restaurant Week. Dozens of area chefs, restaurants, and businesses will participate. The event will benefit the Montclair Rotary Club, and will take place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Conference Center at Montclair State University's University Hall, which features excellent views of Northern New Jersey and New York City. Tickets to the event cost $60. A parking pass for the Red Hawk parking deck and a shuttle from the parking deck to the Conference Center are included in the ticket price.

“This is Montclair’s one- of-a-kind culinary festival that recognizes all those talented and innovative men and women who have transformed our town in to one of the top dining destinations in the Garden State", said event chair Joseph Solano, adding that "you’ll want to be here for the appetizing food, fun, and friendship as we all sample our community’s wonderful cuisine and bid farewell to winter."

John Sauchelli of participating business Jersey Barnfire Hot Sauce told Essex County Place that "Montclair has always been a fantastic destination for food in New Jersey", and that he would like his business "to gain further exposure in this market"

According to the Montclair Rotary Club, ticket proceeds will be donated to Human Needs Food Pantry, Toni’s Kitchen, and Salvation Army Montclair Citadel.

To purchase tickets, click here, or visit the Keil’s Pharmacy on Valley Road or the Haven Saving Bank on Bellevue Avenue. A limited number of $75 tickets may be available at the door on the event date.
