The Township of Irvington will host a Lead Poisoning Prevention and Health Awareness Fair today, March 21, at the Irvington Manor. According to the Township, the event will be sponsored by Mayor Tony Vauss's Wellness Campaign, and there will be free lead poisoning testing, in addition to presentations. In a statement, Mayor Vauss said that “lead poisoning is an important issue in our town as many of the homes are older”. In addition, nutritional, dental, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings will be offered, and face painting will be available for children. The Irvington Manor is located at 43 Washington Avenue between Springfield and Madison Avenues.
