'Get Schooled' at Sustainable Jersey for Schools Seminar

West Orange, New Jersey: Sustainable Jersey will host a program this month in suburban Essex County.

On Wednesday, March 25 at McLoone's Boathouse in West Orange, the 32 municipalities that will receive Sustainable Jersey Small Grants will be named. The grants will be funded by the PSEG Foundation, and Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo will speak during the announcement.

At 6:30pm, a program regarding the Sustainable Jersey for Schools program will take place. Director Heather McCall will discuss the program, and representatives from member school districts will discuss their experiences.

According to Sustainable Jersey, "Sustainable Jersey for Schools is a voluntary certification program for New Jersey public schools that want to go green, conserve resources and take steps to create a brighter future".

The events, which are free and open to all, will be sponsored by the Sustainable Jersey Essex Hub and the Essex County Environmental Commission. Light refreshments will be served, and there will be a cash bar.

For more information, call (973) 762-1510. McLoone's Boathouse is located along the Orange Reservoir at the corner of Cherry Lane and Northfield Avenue.
