The traveling 34th annual Black Maria Film Festival will come to Downtown Caldwell on Saturday, March 21 at 3:30pm. The festival, which features a variety of documentary films, is named after the Black Maria Studio, which was built in West Orange by Thomas Alva Edison in 1893. Tickets can also be ordered by calling (973) 226-7196. After the films, attendees can dine at seven Caldwell eateries and receive a 20% discount by showing their ticket. According to the Caldwell Merchants Association, businesses include Bangkok Kitchen, Calandra’s Italian Village, Caldwell Seafood, Cedar Grill, Cloverleaf Tavern, Jersey Mac’s and Xunta Spanish Tapas. After Caldwell, the festival will travel to Cheltenham, UK.
